Yes, as you say, I don't think shes related to these. Do you know what the black dog owned by Pie was called Bill?

Been right through every drawer for the record book for that year I travelled with big Pie..September 1995, the dog he had then, a black dog, was called Rum....hope this helps..Im sure that one of the dogs he had, could be this one, was bred off Ardkinglas Mick..

Not off the top of my head, but he was a decent runner, I travelled more with Big Pies mate Ginger Alderton..

No the bitch Birddog posted which started the thread off doesnt go back to Paul's first cross, its Nuala that is out of Pauls first x Bracken, to Stan's sister Judy.

 

 

I was sure Gin was out of Storm, could be wrong, its a while ago, sure Storm cam from Minshaw stuff, agai, I could be wrong..I tried to buy that Gin bitch years ago, if Kev can see Scotchy, he will remember what I offered for her....Jan seems to have collated quite a bit of useful info on the lines...

Some of the information I originally collected was contradictory, but more recently I found out, through Kev that Gin was out of Thorn and Belle. Thorn was out of a deer x called Blue and a collie x from Northumberland. Belle is also out of Thorn. Bill, I too was told of a Minshaw connection through Storm from the lads I got Nuala from.

 

Will have a look for those photos now..

Never saw it on matie..Dont think it was related, not sure....talked to a few lads who did see it on, and they said it was the most over rated dog ever..Best male lurcher imo at that time apart from the assassin, that I saw on, was Billy Mercels Paddy

Yeah thats right on Thorns breeding, the collie cross was Watsons a lad whose parents owned the papershop in the top end of Bedington, My Bes came from the same Blue dog, but a diifferent dam, 4 first cross deerhounds were brought up to our area from the same litter from a guy in Burnley..and a lot of good stuff came from these dogs..

And Scotchy with his customary smiling face, ha, ha....

Its a knicked Best Darts Trophy..the rosette is off a horse at Tranwell point to point, and the other rosetts were from the bairns regetta

cheers kev, never noticed it before but belle has that same i'll have you look that her mum has, just a wee add for all when i picked the pup up i tried to pat her mum maybe 4 times in an hour or so and she had me every time kev says she'd never been like that with anyone before i came back to scotland paranoid, she looks ace in that pic kev was that before the broken leg?
