dublin dezzy 1,023
i i think its all about standards gnasher, everyman has his own standards.i would not keep a dog that is not doing it,plain and simples, dog dosnt work why would anyone?and i had my fair share of dirt aswell.i am not the only person to dig to mine either and if they where not up to standard they wouldnt be shy in telling you that. But i wouldnt call some one Kennel blind without seeing his dogs work With respect ive never seen a perfect dog.....ive seen some damn fine ones..............but ive never met a man who didnt want something more from his dogs or strain.....so to say your dogs lack nothing i find hard to believe.....but hey if they do what you want them to do then great, but normally even those of us that are perfectly happy with our dogs always wish for a little more in some department.......its just the nature of improvement and we all want it. thats a fair point but i never said my dogs where perfect gnasher i said they lack nothing in MY eyes thats why i keep them in my yard, once i can dig to my dogs and come down on top of it and its up close enough, job done, good enough for Me!what more can you ask for?looks dont come into it for me just work ability. 5 Quote Link to post
slips 114
Why would anyone breed of a dog or bitch that lacks drive, thats the reason there is so much shite been bred around the country and then when the dog or dogs dont make the grade the person responsible for breeding them in the 1st place has not the balls to do the right thing and sell the terrier on saying it is doing all sorts only for it to be maybe bred of again and probably passed on again to someone else to create more rubbish.I can remember when i started in terriers 1st.A terrier then had to work all game and work for very long periods of time as the magic box was not about,it was ear to the ground then, but now with new laws and bans a terrier has only to work fox so in my mind they are not near as proven as they were say 40 year ago, jmho.
