I did the above 12years ago, first tested the waters by working in adult residential and never looked back since, been to college then onto uni and now work with young people , rather put me work time

Live in the woods. I basically retired at 25. Own my home outright (£150 secondhand caravan). Either amass money to meet expenses. Or minimise expenses to meet your money. I'm a jack of all trades, m

Copper lol

Joking aside tho , no bad pension retire at 50 odds . Just don't become a prick tho lol

Unfortunately you don`t get a choice,, they demand that you dump your old mates and only associate with coppers, ie, become a prick !! lol

I went in to do a mechanic course - i really really wanted to do it, since i was 15.

When i went into the careers place and sat down with a man, told him what course i wanted to do, he laughed and said "Oh are you sure you want to do that? Would you not be better doing a job better suited like a HAIRDRESSER!!!"

I replied and said no i want this - he rang the head of course and they had a right laugh at my expense the dirty b*****ds :censored: The head of the course told the man to tell me - the course was full and that I should be glad because it was all fella's enroled..

Well least to say i came out feeling like pure crap (as if i wasnt good enough to be a mechanic, just cause i was a girl).

I got my fella to ring up saying he wanted to enrole - well to our surprise there were actually still two spots left on the course.

I never mentioned it again, knocked the heart right out of me - but looking back i should of demanded a place and took no shit. But i couldnt believe the way them men got on

You should have requested it in writing, then gone to a solicitor.

I know what now, i kick myself for not doing that exact thing - but at the time i was just coming on 17 and if im honest i was embarrassed as f**k to go back in to that office, im still young enough, so i could still try again in the future.
