hi all just after a bit of advice my 10 month old lurecher pub Beddy whippet x collie greyhound wont retrieve anymore she has lost interest in toy ( rope balls squeaky toys ) and the dummy she was doing really well then just stopped she will somtimes go get the toy pick it up then just drop it again and comes back to me.

 

can anyone help?

 

ive tried to play tug with her but she doesnt want to do that either

Im no Expert but in my opinion i would leave it a week not getting her to retrive at all sounds as tough ahe has lost intrest from over working and its got her bored id keep it steady and not over do it with her just my opinion but hope it helps, atb

Leave it a couple of weeks and in that time get a rabbit skin and put it around the dummy. Once a dog has learned to retrieve there isn't any need to give them retrieves every day just once a week and only a couple at that. Otherwise you could sicken the dog. Hope this helps
