Half x collie / grey x whippet.

Recommended Posts

Tomo - Don't think johnnyboy would let me :tongue2: Think he's afraid folk will think he's gay if he has a whippet x

Jamie - My thoughts are that using a good sized whippet over a decent sized collie / grey, wouldnt lose too much in terms of height, and also i know that all of the ingrediants on the whippet side of things would be working stock. Also i don't need a dog much over 23 ". I suppose i'm also looking at what i could add to my whippet rather than to a collie x. If that makes sense?

Owen, will Pm now mate.

Aye makes perfect sense mate. I think if you want sonething very similar to finn adding collie would be silly as I personally see collie will add alot of influence to how it will work if that makes any sense. It's like adding a 1/4 of Steven hawkings brain to your own. You might be better with something more like 3/8's collie with Finn over that IMO reduce the collie influence for me I want a collie x like what I've got but slightly lighter on it's feet so I would achieve that with Finn over mine lol Altho we both know percentages mean jack lol

Surely there's more of this breeding out there

Be nice for few more pics and descriptions of work style/ethic

Jai's whippet over Bron would throw a nice pup I think but I'm of the thinking with Bron "if" I bred her it would most likely be to a dog of the same type. Finn is a great little worker and as all the things you'd be looking for in a whippet and a bit more imo, the brreding that Jai is looking for would be spot on for the way he hunts his dogs. :victory:

Johnny - if only Gem was younger, it'd be fecking great to see what came out of that pairing. Be some powerful dogs.

Del - Cheers mate, he certainly isn't a typical shivery little whippet.
