jembo 0
Does anyone use Animalintex on thorns and infections? I used to use it on the horses and when i got stung, its really good stuff. Dont know if you can use it on dogs, but i cant see why not. I would be interested to know if anyone does use it
skycat 6,173
Most definitely YES. Brilliant stuff: the only thing you have to be careful of is not leaving it on for as long as you would a horse: I find that 5-6 hours is plenty, then leave the wound to breathe over night and repoultice next day if necessary (not usually necessary at all) I always use it wet and at just above skin temperature: seems to draw pus and foreign bodies out quicker. Takes down inflammation and swelling really fast and is also just as good on bruising. Brilliant for infected puncture wounds etc. Not had to use antibiotics for years now for these sort of things: plus it's cheap and easy to get. (Saddlery and tack shops for those that are interested.)
