Don't waste your time on a "starter lamp", mate. Save up and buy the best you can. Believe me, if you buy a cheap 'un, you'll be wanting to upgrade before long, and it will be false ecomomy !   Che

Surely a real man carry manage a battery on his back and a 5 mile walk up fell and dale..................................................poofs :D

My brother said kind of the same thing about a 1/2 pound special burger from the kebab house on Saturday night... He failed and I made him eat his words! :D

1/2 lb and he failed, is he homosexual?

1/2 pound of burgers, a load of doner meat, cheese, jalapeños and a pile of chilli sauce.. Nothing to a proper man, I nearly disowned him! :D

thanks for the feedback lads much appreciated. i'll have to see what i can do money wise, i'd rather just wait and get a good'un now. so looks like a few weekend fiddles :whistling: . i noticed the wide beam on the clulite when iv been out wi me mate so i wanted to try summat different anyway. the blitz does sound a bit big as id like to be able to tuck it away whilst walkin roads, no point attracting attention even if iv got permission. chart thanks for the offer mate i might just take you up on it. cheers

Striker is all the lamp you need unless you are on really big fields...a 17amp sealed lead acid battery will last all night with it aswell..for the weight simply use a rucksack. Dont buy a cheap lamp mate coz you will be dissappointed and end up out of pocket..atb stabba

That's what you want JB! Only the price thats the issue. The lithium batteries are excellent though if you're serious about it and going to go out lots!

guna go for the variable tracer with 14ah battery, at 250. whats peoples views and what sorta lamping time will i get out of it? very tempted to just go all out and get the 22ah battery but it might be surplus to requirement. i'll be out as much as possible without killing the dog, or overdoing the permission. this will be my 1st season wi the pup she is 1 in september... cant wait!! cheers
