starter lamp??

Recommended Posts

I've got a 140 lance, paid about 90 quid for it of eBay few years back and it's going well. Bought a 7ah 12v battery for about £13 just to get me going and it's been enough for me with the short trips out I can manage. Got this charger for it:

Don't waste your time on a "starter lamp", mate. Save up and buy the best you can. Believe me, if you buy a cheap 'un, you'll be wanting to upgrade before long, and it will be false ecomomy !   Che

would i be happy with that set up simoman? would you? cheers for reply im a bit clueless on this one so need to be told

A £50 battery from golf direct does a great job and will last from dusk till dawn, the only downside is the weight, but i just put mine in a rucksack and also fill it with rabbits, a lithium would be better but expensive. Personally i have a striker and a blitz, the bigger models BUT ther are between 80-110 so again more than your budget. A lance is more than suitable for lamping rabbits and a damn sight better then a clulite, i had them for years until i got my foirst lightforce and couldnt believe the difference

I use a 240 Blitz, I think it's got by far the best beam for the work I do. Downside is it's size ! You can't hide it in your pocket ! LOL ! I use 12v 12a sealed batteries, carry one and a spare in the car. They do me a night. I got an electronic charger from Maplins for about £18. They don;t boil the battery and are fool proof, can't cause damage if connected the wrong way ! All teamed up with an old army gas mask case, does the job for me !

Cheers.

Drill a hole in the handle, legnth of para cord and hang it round my neck Works ok for me !
