has anyone hunted with this dog or offsprings like Danny. they are mentioned in the book work them hard treat them like heroes . also did he own the parents and grand parents of gin. ' is it his line ' . we have dogs that go back to him.

Gouldy and Stacey stuff. Had a very good dog directly sired by Gin, he was a top class terrier "Tom", k ryall spoke about him in Blucks book. Gin IMO threw a lot of bullies, hard as nails untill pushed.

did you breed from Tom and if so did he throw stuff as good as himself?

Tom was bred by the chap calling himself "Franky Owen" in the EDRD. Tom was by Gin and out of a Nuttall bitch called Dice, Dice was bred by Arthur Wells. Tom entered "easy as" and was what can only be described as recklass, when i found out Roy had lost Gin Tom was in his first season and going well, i phoned Roy and offered Tom as a replacement. I last saw Tom work on an invite with Karl when he was doing the terrier work for the AVH, by then Tom had settled down to a good steady style of work. I couldn't tell you if Tom was a producer, i had my path and Roy had his so apart from Tom i never owned a dog from that line again.

As far as i know mate no not at all, there may well be blood from Gin through Max but not Tom.

Dilly Dog .I think Graig has a dog also called Tom that is bred through Tom , Frankie Owen has mentioned to me in the past .

I worked a few terriers related to Gin 1 was his brother as Dilly said they were bullies and most spewed when the going got tough

Gin was out of DH,s Jack who was by Smithy possibly over a Smithy daughter if my memory serves me right,Gin was a litter brother to DH,s Vicky.

did DH have 2 Gins. because in his book work them hard, he says in page 205 in the picture " vicky ( right ) with her daughter Gin. 1989

 

than on page 289 he says about boozer and moira.. " both sired by R Evans' Gin, litter brother to my Vicky. " so is gin daughter of vicky or little mate to vicky.

 

in regards to jack he says that smithy was his father and grand father and jack was out of KG's Jill.and than he talked bout how many people claimed to have bred jack..

'Gin' that Harcombe owned was a bitch out of 'Jack', R Evans 'Gin' was a dog also out of 'Jack'.
