Hitcher 297
Just for some of you lads claiming this myth that GREAT fighters have great chins...... Tommy Hearns NIgel Benn Diego Corrales Zab Judah Terry Norris Michael Grant Vladimir Klitchsko Marvis Frazier Not to mention the most famous of all......Floyd Patterson aka " Fallover Floyd " All these fighters were world champions who had great careers..................and china chins !..............Khan doesnt have a great chin by nature,he cant help that......but the strength conditioning and general defensive knowledge he has gained has definately improved it........unfortunately he persists with trying to tough it out in all out wars rather than using the boxing ability that got him there in the first place. its strange that you have these great boxer khan included with great skills an they get ko,d and the other side of the coin you get the bulls with little in the way of skills absorb punches ,,,,i remember watching a fighter called tex cobb in the 80s dont think he had any skills but he had a heart like a lion Edited July 16, 2012 by Hitcher

graham4877 1,181
I think the point is you can have the best chin in the world.. but if you''ve got no boxing skill you'l not go very far.. khan has good boxing skill's , you can always wok around his chin.. even tho it was an ear/neck shot... all what is needed with khan is for the lad to stop jumping about, keep them feet planted to the floor and his right hand up when he's throwing the left and say 3/4 shot combo's .. he's not finished but if it was not this fight he lost it would of been his next...if/when he met mayweather

PlasticJock 539
I saw the knockout, just my opinion but I'll challenge anyone here to take the shot he did. A hard shot to the side of the neck will drop anyone, never mind this 'chin' business, no one is immune as simple anatomy dictates that the amount of nerves and arteries in the region is the same for everyone. Your nervous system has a massive shot, and closes your body down while it 'reboots'. I don't have feelings for him either way, but he took a shot that would make an elephant weak at the knees, end of.

He'l come back and fight a few bums but he needs to do as his corner is telling him or he'l be on his arse again he needs some hard sparing with someone who will make him pay every time hi drops that right hand

Thats all very true but we sit on THL not in vagas telling folk we are going to be pound for pound and we want to fight Mayweather every 2 minutes The fact of it is he doesnt have the power in his punches that his competition has so his fights will usually go the distance BUT he gets hit to easily and to often, which isnt a good combination. I think as fans were better turning our attention to Kell Brook
