Khan vs garcia

Recommended Posts

I'm not a Khan fan, but give the lad his due, he was badly hurt but genuinely wanted to carry on. I think he showed his heart.

i dont know about that when he was getting hurt he kept looking to his corner they cant jump in and give him a touch if he really wanted to fight his eyes would be on garcia

I think his eyes were in orbit mate

I may well be wrong, but looked to me like he was game.

I t amuses me all these arm chair boxing experts on THL the punch that started the damage on Khan was landed on the side of the neck and imo Khan has a decent chin look when he fought maidana ...Maid

Just for some of you lads claiming this myth that GREAT fighters have great chins......   Tommy Hearns NIgel Benn Diego Corrales Zab Judah Terry Norris Michael Grant Vladimir Klitchsko Marvis

Khan has probably the fastest hands in the weight division and also some tidy footwork, just a shame he doesnt put it to good use. I dont know why he lets himself get drawed into to brawls. Is it his

Problem with Kahn is that he always seems to have eyes on the next fight instead of the one he's actually about to have. You listen to his press conferences and he spends more time on about the big fights he wants have at the highest level.. I don't think he's giving the ones he has to beat to get to the top enough respect...

Jmo..

this bout last night again proved the massive gap beetween british and american boxers , the tech is there with khan

but the hunger and will is not it happens again and again people will rush on and say what about lennox lewis

well that even strenthens it lenox went to canada were he boxed spared with all america top pro ams

the mexican etc make up a great % of the usa top boxers , the whole set up if differant , allthough we have

great succes at amature level against them we seem to fall short in the long run at the pro game imo

You can change many things about yourself as a fighter but you can never change the fact you have a glass chin khan has no where to go now calling out the big guns stepping up a weight he be better off go back home and pull his plum useless bye bye aimir

I t amuses me all these arm chair boxing experts on THL the punch that started the damage on Khan was landed on the side of the neck and imo Khan has a decent chin look when he fought maidana ...Maidana was one of the hardest punchers in the light welter wieght divison at the time and im sure he had about 25 kos in 28 fights when he fought Khan an he landed some big punches on Khans chin but Khan came through to win the fight the 2 ko khan has been down with have been lucky punches....Garcia caught him with a near haymaker of a left hook that Khan should never of never been caught much the same punch Prescott caught him with but to question his chin is laughable the amount of punches he took if he had a glass chin khan woulkd never of made it to the end off the 4th against Garcia ....and the decision that he was beat by Peterson was out and out cheating .....theres no doubting khans ability and its more the colour of his skin that a lot of yous dont like him ....I dont think he has a glass chin I just think he gets a bit careless some times that allows big punches to land on him ....

Will pull you up on one thing there is no such thing as a lucky punch in boxing

Just for some of you lads claiming this myth that GREAT fighters have great chins......

Tommy Hearns

NIgel Benn

Diego Corrales

Zab Judah

Terry Norris

Michael Grant

Vladimir Klitchsko

Marvis Frazier

Not to mention the most famous of all......Floyd Patterson aka " Fallover Floyd "

All these fighters were world champions who had great careers..................and china chins !..............Khan doesnt have a great chin by nature,he cant help that......but the strength conditioning and general defensive knowledge he has gained has definately improved it........unfortunately he persists with trying to tough it out in all out wars rather than using the boxing ability that got him there in the first place.

not sure about benn he had a good one

He admitted himself many times he didnt have a great chin.......but said his determination and will to win meant he kept coming forward....

Tony Logan decked him,Kid Milo had him bang in trouble,Lou Gent rocked him ( lesser fighters )..........Watson finished him with a jab,Galvano had him in trouble a few times, think he was on his back at least 7 or 8 times in his career...............nothing wrong with that as long as you keep getting up......Floyd Patterson was down over 20 times in his career, the majority of times he got off the canvas to win.............dont mean he didnt have a china chin though.

gnash ---anything left for khan on the back of this -- moneys not an issue pride is .. i think thrs still fights for him if he wants it .. couple of wins and he`s right back in among it ... talking to an ex pro did well in his day he said you had to keep going with him it was`nt a matter of if you lost that was it you had to find a way back in to earn a living he made a few quid out the game but still had to carry on in buisness after he retired from the ring --not something many top fighters need to do these days ..
