scothunter 12,609
Intrusive surveillance I keep hearing that. Intrusive would be going into your home. On the steets, who gives a shit, or at your work. What you doing in public, that makes you think it's bordering on your rights. I think they are good thing, me personally I don't give them a second thought. Let me say it again, dunno where you guys live, but my life ain't changed that drastic to think I'm living under martial law.
scothunter 12,609
Then they would be arrested for impersonating a police officer. My lawyer would have a field day with that one lol Paulus everyone knows its not perfect, it's not Eutopia mate, but it's certain not as bad as some like to make out. I Asked a question to fox fan , how is it "personally" affected his way of life that's so drastic? All I got was a load of links Oh sorry i didnt realise it was a direct question to me. Well, aside from the intrusive surveilance, what we are seeing is an undermining of the constitution and common law, a steady trickle of errosion of civil liberties, rights being reduced to priviledges. Sub standard journalism, government, monarchy. Devolution of sovereignty to Europe. Oppresive council legislation, corruption in government, the judicial system and banking, Austerity being implemented on the populance as a result of private organisations irresponsible gambling. And i cant have a walk out with a dog for a few runs, thats just for starters. Aye but apart from that............. Lol
Sjt657 191
"Cowboys and Aliens"...... Sounds like a film about the UK workforce. G4S - does the '4' stand for the number of security personnel that will actually be available for the Olympics?
WILF 46,811
Because the army is Projected on a 3 yearly cycle training, ops and the third year is coming off ops and is used for promotional courses exchanges with other nations etc ... 85 percent of troops called up have either just come off ops so have been away for 6 months and are owed leave or are about to go on ops which means they will have worked nearly every weekend up to their leave date prior to going on ops ... Leave in the army is a privilege and many of these troops will missing out on leave and I,portent time with their family's to act as a glorified security guard so they should be financially rewarded for that reason alone .... Apart from that they will be living in sub standard accommodation eating sub standard food and should be compensated for that also .... Apart from all that do you think they will only be working a normal 8 hour shift ??? Not likely there is no union to look after the troops they will flat out thought the whole Olympics ...... Bang on the nail there matey, my pal just got his holiday cancelled and dragged down there......loads of the other lads in his camp have had to bin off £1500 quid holidays and all sorts. Getting bussed up and down the country to some websters f*****g camp to listen to bollocks for 2 hours. He was well pissed off and said a lot of the other lads are the same, he has two tours under his belt and now they will be 14 hour shifts on this get up.......joke! Marvin 193
Im wondering when the SIA will be dragged into it for being slow, badly ran and over zelouse with their strictness of declining badges ??
socks 32,253
The borders agency are far more to blame ..... They won't even allow serving service personnel to work at the Olympics if they have a record for say lets pissing in public etc ... They can go to war but can't be trusted to work at the Olympics .... It's a fukcing joke ... This country really is fukced .........

Or are UKBA organising who can and can't work at the olympics? Can a serving soldier be convicted of a criminal offence (no matter how minor) and stay a soldier? (Not loaded question, I really don't know the answer) I can sort of see the reasoning for that though, if a lad has previous for getting his cock out in public, maybe he's best kept away from the worlds press! Personally, I think the whole thing is a ridiculous waste of money we haven't got, and I'd be happy to see it cancelled, that stadium should have been a hospital as far as I'm concerned.
tandors 888
The olympics is clearly about contracts and sponsorship and sport is just a side issue. How many playing fields etc have been turned into houses etc recently because I can think of quite a few by me. I've heard a rumour that soldiers are being asked if they would be willing to fire on the population? They could well be pawns in a training exercise of getting troops in a domestic setting? socks 32,253
16 air assault is nothing special just infantry regiments on immediate notice to move ... Strange as I remember when I was on it you couldn't be more than 30 minuets from the base ... Obviously nothing is going to happen whilst the Olympics are on then ..... tandors 888
Will be false flag probably what are they expecting really with all these troops they never talk about why they're needed and who we are in danger from exactly? Is it muslims or what?
