reddawn 2,173
i just been having a flick throo the old sparticus threads, started siring litters at the age of 15 month, im sure it said had done 35 by time it was 2 an a half... the add also stated he was a great producer an all his pup worked if given the chance... are there any terriers out there today that the same can be said of??? or was it just a sales pitch???? the_stig 6,614
my view is if any animal that is from a well proven/tested line and not tested itself it will produce --- 2 Quote Link to post

marshman 7,758
I don't know dogs that are producing nowadays like gouldys dogs did , in saying that I don't know anyone that is breeding the numbers that it says in that ad! All i will say is this . When my mates and me where teenagers one of my mate turns up with a pup out of sparticus . And when that pup was old enough we worked him on and in every situation that you can work a terrier! Back in the day none of us could drive so we worked locally. Allotments railway banks with trains flying past , madness really! No ban then so we took our sport where we could. That terrier got results where others had failed , I'd pay a nice few bob to have him now!! 2 Quote Link to post
Saho-man 50
how did sparticus START proving himself as a producer, or which offspring proved sparticus as producer, than people started flocking to him .. or was it his lineage that people came for . and if so did he really prove himself percentage wise. how about looks and ACCESSIBILITY Quote Link to post
reddawn 2,173
are there any other terriers from years ago that had the same reputation as a producer??? Quote Link to post

Saho-man 50
whos to blame long , the terrier man who brought 35 bitches to him , or man who allowed the dog to go over bitches. i think the former is to blame . Quote Link to post
