adam123 21
hello lads just wondering if any adivice can be given for me weihrauch, i am sure that my hw97k is a mk1 model with the barrel that sticks out further than the underlever, anyways ive been watching a few vids of this rifle and everyone elses seems to be much quiter than mione :S i am thinking of putting the rifle in for a goos servicing and a tuning will this help the noise or is it just down to its age ( wich is roughly around 20 yr old i think). also how do clean up the stock from scuffs and scratches? was thinking of sanding and re varnishing but abit wary of doing so incase it ruins the stock. cheers for any advice given atb adam Quote Link to post

rifleman 0
a tune up will defiantly help with everything just working better but it might cost you a bit i would get a quote first Quote Link to post
AR177 588
Tony Wall at sandwell field sports is the Guru of tuning spring rifles, you may have a little wait for the work to be completed as he has a huge workload thanks to Si, but it is well well worth the weight. As for the stock, you can buy a stock repair kit such as a birchwood casey one from a good gunshop or from the internet, ebay has a load . Its very straight forward to do, simple sanding then oiling etc, ive just finished doing my S10 stock and i really enjoyed doing it, does take a fair bit of time though ATB Adam Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Chance are that with a good service it will be a little quieter, as the spring looses its full length with age and use, it will become twangy and a fair bit louder Quote Link to post
