Carraghs Gem 1,675
I think the point of a lurcher is that it fills the pot... Put kangal into a lurcher and I reckon it will eat the fecking pot Quote Link to post

bunnys 1,228
surprising on the feed necesary for such a large beast , the intake will be in all probability not that great when one compares the constitution of such a beast ,a dont think theyll have big pots a boiling in them tops ,what would ya think theyre fed on in them mountains , will be carb based chucked in with some goat meat . i would think as said theyre guardians not hyper active fast metabloism type herders , just a thought ,. atb bunnys. birddog 1,354
impressive beasts for sure.........but for lurcher production??????? i'll stick with a 24 or 25" inch mutt weighing 40 or 50 lb as my preference, just hope there isn't some hoodie neds on here thinking about crossing them with their status bull types but maybe they'd be ok on some of whin's 'big land' Quote Link to post

juckler123 707
Interesting post Bird I think them large ones are the anatolian kangals saw my first uk kangal two days ago so they are here it was a dog pup at six mths of age and going to be nowhere near the height of them in the pics i commented on the fact that i had seen larger specimins and the gal that owned him reckoned he was a turkish kangal so not as huge. I kept mastiff xs and neos for a while as guards and he was no bigger than a neo pup of the same age he was certainly switched on aggresion wise though as he came to inspect my runners he got snapped at and was instantly going to have a go even at such a tender age personally cant see the use for them here just hope its not another fad dog thats going to get a bad name they are bred for a job and thats were they should be doing what they were bred for.
