how can ya blame 70% of the lampers unfortunately lamping is part of hunting. yes the odd one doesnt give a shit about what damage or harm he or she does but no way near 70%. ya sound like the cnuts trying to get it banned. the problem is with todays society being brought up in an ignorant britain where food only comes from supermarkets etc etc. the same thing happened with industrial britain everybody just wanted to strike and do f all n when the jobs went over seas they gurned about that too, 70% of britain needs a good boot up the arse n get a grip on reality instead of protesting about what everybody does. thats why the uk is in such a bad fcuking state

Most of the hassle we get started just after the ban.Within a week joe public started asking me where i was going.What are you doing with those dogs.Hope your not chasing fox.One guy told me he was phoning the police because i was walking the dogs in a field.Prick said it was now illegal.Told them all to fcuk of and get a life.A lot of people think that owning a lurcher makes you a thug.We can thank the government and the media for that.So fcuk them too.

this is very true, most farmers will turn a blind eye if its doing them no harm or even more importantly not costing them money. but if someone sees something happening that shouldnt be happening and reports it, and the farmer starts getting hastle then very quickly you will be given the boot. so even with permision you have to use your head and keep your wits about you.

I don't even bother lamping with the dog anymore it just not worth the hassle, The Police are called even when your on permission and then the aggro of contacting the farmer late at night. whether we like it or not lurchers and poaching have always gone hand in hand. always have. and always will.since the ban came in its made it a lot harder to be somewhere your not supposed to be with a dog if you havnt got permission. imo the hunting ban, people driving feilds, and showing no respect has ruined the game .because you can poach and still show respect to the owner or any land your on permission or not .

I understand from both sides as where I live there is a mixture of REAL lurcher men and other mindless idiots just out to kill, in my opinion you shouldn't kill what you aren't going to eat or use unless its causing the farmer a problem. I've got a little permission here and there mostly for ferrets, but I've realised the more I look after the land and do a good job the more the word passes on.

 

A lot of public around my way also have a problem with lads with the dogs as they see what we do as 'cruel'; I'll tell you now that my dogs and ferrets are extremely well cared for with no time or cost spared. And as for the game; would you think it cruel to kill and eat something that has a had a good free life? Or something reared for death and has had a shit life locked in a cage full of shit?

 

Personally,I think what we do is the kinder option, providing we do it correct

dont get me wrong seeing a lurcher work with a decent handler I love to see and when I lived in Scotland I used to work whippets but i seem to come across less and less decent handlers and more and more K**bs, we have only one decent bloke he comes on takes a few rabbits and leaves, if we see him we say hello and leave him to it, the ones we seem to be seeing more are big groups of lads either on foot or in cars, racing around slipping there dogs on anything that moves and not even taking when the dogs catch! now that annoys me shows lack of respect for the land and the quarry
