If you doubt what I say; then I respectfuly suggest that you don't know to much about saluki's   Cheers.

i own one but havent seen a feathered one yet

not doubting you at all mate just didnt no what else to put

The general opinion will be "no", but there are people who swear that they have feathered first cross Saluki/Greys ! So, basicaly believe what you will !! :thumbs:

Reason he is asking is one of the Lads is getting a 10 month old pup nxt week supposedly 1x Kahn to a greyhound and he said it was feathered but I was lead to bileve they only threw smooth so does anybody no if there were a litter about 10 month old out of Kahn to a greyhound? I have pm Macca but he hasn't been online for a few days thanks

They say its genetically impossible to get a feathered halfx.The greyhound being the stronger gene but thats not to say i'm right i'm just repeating what i was told 1 day.

 

This same discussion happened years ago on here, and the coursing lads were adamant it couldn't happen, but other lads put pics of dogs up that were feathered, and swore they were first crosses ! I was intriqued and asked a Proffessor at Newcastle University, and he reckoned there was no genetic reason to prevent it. Who knows ?

just like saying you wont get a rough coat off a beddy or deer x

 

Not realy..... Beddys and Deerhounds have rough coats; salukis are smooth coated and feathered, Salukis can throw smooth and feathered in the same litter. :thumbs:
