chartpolski 24,127
They say its genetically impossible to get a feathered halfx. The greyhound being the stronger gene but thats not to say i'm right i'm just repeating what i was told 1 day. This same discussion happened years ago on here, and the coursing lads were adamant it couldn't happen, but other lads put pics of dogs up that were feathered, and swore they were first crosses ! I was intriqued and asked a Proffessor at Newcastle University, and he reckoned there was no genetic reason to prevent it. Who knows ? Cheers. Edited July 13, 2012 by chartpolski Quote Link to post

Beddys and Deerhounds have rough coats; salukis are smooth coated and feathered, Salukis can throw smooth and feathered in the same litter. Cheers. Quote Link to post
