skycat 6,173
Barley: start with calling her Collie-Barley, then gradually change, dropping the Collie part: most of my dogs have several nick names, and they respond to all of them just the same as their given name. You could call her Collie-Rhubarb if you wanted to, and it wouldn't take more than a few weeks before she was responding to Rhubarb just as well as Collie. Moonshine became Moo, Rattis became Baggy, Venture was also Vench, and Poon: Poon was short for Poonhound, but after a bit she knew Poon was also her name. Favour is also called Fuggy as well as her first name: Dogs are clever! Quote Link to post

GypsyJoe 36
Got ten at present matey, and getting another tommorrow. I'm lucky to live on a site where space is not an issue, we got a big secure field, and nice big yard. Only downside is they all sleep in my waggon with me at night (to guard against dog theives) Might be getting another Saluki next week but she's not a worker, just needs a new home Quote Link to post
