dogs and squirrals

what is it with squirrals that the dogs can sense i mean your on the footpaths through the wood and say 20 or 30 yards into the wood the dogs seem to know their about for such a small animal it must have a terrible smell to it anyone noticed this

mine love nothing more than a bit of squirrel bashing and yes they must have a very strong scent

it happens every day with us the dogs just walking along then theyll all stop heads in the air and take off through the bushes usally to the sound of a chattering squirral thats made its escape till the catty comes out

Squirrel control opened a lot of doors for me and my mutts used to love them

 

 

The Stafford cross used to go nuts for them

ill always remember me dogs first squirral it was in a horse field he must have thought it was a rabbit till he caught it it was funny as hell watching him running about with it hanging of his face screeming till he learnt [bANNED TEXT] to do with them :D

I shot one in the garden the other night, took dog down to find it and it bit her on the nose, as she backed off the squirrel had hold of her rope, ao the dog started bucking like a horse ant the squirrel was going round and round her head, one of the funniest things iv ever seen.I think next time she will rag it properly but as a 1st experience it was hilarious.

same here, Bryn loves chasing them more than rabbits , he only killed 2 but he is mad for them he even trys to jump up the tree after them and he can feckin jump ( one day he will get 1)
