Guest born to run1083
What are people thoughts on how long they take to switch on fully. The reputation of the deerhound is well known to be a slow developer do you think this is the main reason people don't like the cross. To wait a year or so longer then most other dogs to find out you might have something barely average. Also alot being late developers , not all but alot when compared to other types of the same age they seem to be lacking of something. I like the deerhound my best ever dog had deerhound in him but I think as a cross there one of the most hit or miss types Quote Link to post
Phil Lloyd 10,738
The best Deerhound lurchers that I have owned/seen,...all looked and acted, as though they wanted to do the job, at a fairly early age.. It was plainly obvious that these beauties fancied having a pop,.especially at the Roe... When this occurs, it is easy just sitting back and waiting for the Kraken within, to awaken... The type needs a wee bit of time to physically mature,.and then,.let the fun begin... 2 Quote Link to post
