hi there , my cert for shotgun came yesterday, iv got £500 and was looking for suggestions on my first gun. i was looking for a o/u 12g multi choke .any advice would be great.oh and second hand was my prefered choice.

Go for a Lanber mate, outstanding gun for the money.

I bought mine, a used Lanber sporter 28" multi choke with 5 extra chokes for £350.

Last week went out with my mate, same field he shot 26 with his £1800 beretta, i shot 106 with the Lanber

Good choice, i have a lanber o/u paid £150 for it about six years ago and its been great.

Oh mines got fixed choke. Dont worry about multi choke yet unless you want to shoot clays and game.

Go for whatever fits you best and worry about makes second. As said those Lanber o/us are tough gun but dont buy a Lanber auto whatever you do. There a piece a shite!! £500s a good budget. Depends what you want to shoot also. For clays and a decoying gun i'd go for a Miroku 3800 every time, but if you want a game gun to carry all day somthing like the Lanber or an AYA Yeoman o/u would suit you better.
