The auld fella sounds like a baw bag. you can tell him that from me,     Pernod

Go round and call him a c*nt from all of us, then ignore everything else he tells you based on the fact that he is a very misguided individual.

We used to drive around in horses and traps but we now use cars there were no such things as a tv when the old fool was a kid but iI bet he watches one now .... It's called progress just because thing

lol wind up......... how would you dock a kits tail? youd have to touch them at a few days old, the blood on them and the damage would cause the mother to kill/eat them, as she would if they injured thereselfs any other way, so that is complete *ull*hit.

Now I see no reason to dock ferrets tails and this might even be a wind up, but in theory what's the difference docking ferrets as opposed to pups ??.

There is a pu

rpose to the latter, the former is just retarded.

If you've ever worked an undocked spaniel or terrier through thick cover you would know. The injuries sustained by a dog thrashing it's tail about can be quite horrific.

I've never heard of a ferret sustaining tail injuries whilst working.

i got a kitt here wae a bobbed tail, i think th ejill chewed it off when she was dealing with th ekitts after birth, same kitt also only has 3 feet, so im guessing that was done same time as tail, iv had a few kitts in the past that have had bobbed tails an iv always put it down to tired jills trying to gee birth as best as they can, an its usually been younger maiden jills.. ill probs tapp this 1 at a later point if his movements are restricted with the fact he onnly gt 3 feet, but ye never know, cos he got good blood an i bred for a hob an he was 1 of only 2 in litter

eddited to add, iv never noticed a bob tail ferret being any cleaner than a normal tailed 1, if ye got dirty ferrets its time to have a look at ye husbandry skills......

I love all thing ferrets and would gladly discuss or advise anyone on working them or even best practice when it comes to husbandry....but I find myself less inclined to reply to such silly posts & the only reason I could be arsed to contribute to this thread is to comment on the above.....it's bad enough when a stupid comment is made initially but even more so when you read equally stupid replies.....so regarding one of the above answers I'd like to say that when a ferret exits a hole you don't pick it up by the tail & you should really refrain from commenting on peoples posts as you practice equally unnaceptable methods ...
