Don't put any more oil down your barrel!!!! Just clean it through, and put some shots down it 'til it clears

Well matt im not saying that....but with my 7 years in army(not long compared to others here) cleaning with oil and spraying direct into barrel are 2 diff things lol     Lol the mrs just told me fr

Well I wasn't in the army and I for one know you shouldn't be spraying anything down the barrel ever!   You lightly spray the little cloth tabs and pull em through then pull through loads of dry tab

p.s its hard going 3 weeks without a gun, ive been ripping my hair out!! lol .especially when the farmer cut his field like 2 weeks ago and there must have been close to 100 crows rooting around every night!!

well its kind-of sorted..

just put 102 pellets through it. obviously im out of practice after 3 weeks of no shooting.. and it was windy.. but excuses aside...

i cleaned the barrel PROPERLY THIS TIME lol before i set off, grabbed my combro, targets and a fresh brand new tin of jsb's 4.52

so after 102 pellets im not right impressed to be honest. obviously the new grease etc will need to settle and the barrel will need re leading (after 102 pellets it should be tho?) , but it was allover the place still.. and the chrono results were even worswe than before with loads coming out aat 5ft lbs! :cray::icon_eek::blink:

Just serviced my 2 HW80s and tuned the triggers.

Small amounts of Bisley gun grease used as per manufacturers guidelines.

No dieseling whatsoever.

Getting groups of 5 pellets within a 5 pence at 30 yards with the sub 12 and within a 20 pence with the fac one.

Lightened my trigger pull after polishing the surfaces of their internals (cleaned all the old grease out of them too)

The sub 12 was full of grease and oil (maybe motor oil) I couldn't even achieve 2" groups with it before i stripped it.

Got loads of good advice from pianoman, and i've spent loads of hours reading up on tuning, servicing and shooting too.

I've been studying Si and Davy's vids on marksmanship also which has helped alot.

I'd get the gun sorted pal.
