hears my last 2 handles i will be doing for a while now going to be doing more leather work when these have reached there owners with there sheaths witch will be next to do. the big helmando will have

you can rivet them or use apoxie to set them in when you apoxie the handles on sets very hard then file away shape them to ya handle

no probs pal it aint that hard to do if ya get stuck pm me

gaffer, are you shaping the handles by hand with a file/sand paper? if so how long does it take on average?

i use my bench sander to get the with then all by hand i couldn't tell you how long to be honest with ya its prety long to get it to what i like

are you having a bash at one ? the paper i use is for mettle it all so gets rid of any scratch's and will get it close to how the blade looks nice and shiney

i have just done a couple, but didnt do any of the sanding by hand just used an electric file, which is fairly brutal with the wood, I just noticed how smooth the ones you had put up and figured you must be putting some serious time into preping the wood and staining etc

ye i try to get every bit as smooth as i can go trough all the grades of sand paper no to mention all the shapeing with files
