A couple of days in the lives of VerminHuntersTV's own Davy Thomas and Si Pittaway

Recommended Posts

Hi lads,

This is an episode of VerminHuntersTV that as been filmed over the last 3 to 4 weeks, both down in Swindon and up in Nottinghamshire.

It starts off with Davy shooting feathered vermin on a dairy farm for the farmer in Wiltshire followed by rats in the night using his Sony scope camera and IR illuminator.

We then switch to this weekend just gone (6th, 7th and 8th July 12) when Davy made the trip up to Nottinghamshire to stay with me and Laura as our guest.

This weekend we visited 2 of my permissions where I have been asked by the owners to monitor and cull the ever growing rabbit population.

To make a change from shooting our pcp’s we use our spring piston Weihrauch HW97KT rifles and put them to good use showing you that you don’t need to spend £750 to humanely shoot rabbits with at good distances.

We hope that you enjoy the footage

Si and Davy.

I will when the wife lets me! Does the extra silencer make a worthwhile difference?

It is quieter but longer and not ideal for shooting in small spaces.

To be fair though when we were shooting over the weekend without the extra silencer fitted the rabbits didn't hear the shots at all and even when one went over the others just looked about.

Thanks lads ;) .

To be fair it was the rifle that made the shot capable  .

Without the great work Tony Wall did on it I would not of been able to attempt that shot.

All credit should be sent to Sandwell Field Sports.
