On behalf of the Irish Working Terrier Federation can I give a big thank you to the organisers of the excellent game fair at Shanes Castle yesterday.

Allowing us to set up our stall next to the terrier ring was brilliant for our organisation, especially as the I.W.T.F. is still very much in it's infancy.

 

Also can I give a big thank you to those of you who visited our stall and joined your club to the I.W.T.F.

It was great craic meeting you all and your support and help will help us in our aims to keep the right to work and own our terriers here in Ireland.

Sorry didn't get a chance to get down to the terrier & lurcher ring until you had gone. As you can guess I was rather tied up helping getting a fairly massive crowd into the car parks in slightly wet conditions BUT as usual the sandy car parks of Shanes held up well and no tow outs and people could not believe how good the main site remained. As we in the team say

' Whether the weather be good or whether the weather be bad - the Great Game Fairs of ireland come through!

 

Delighted to hear you did good business - now on to Birr.

Thanks Albert.

We were busy but I still got away from the stand for a while and had a good look around the fair. Sorry now I didn't bring a few extra pounds. I didn't want to leave Coch y Bondus book stand, LOL.

Our member who owned our stall was good enough to leave his holiday in the West of Ireland for a day and had to be back before he was divorced .

Hence the reason we left a little early, but not too early.

It was a great day for the IWTF and now it's all systems go now for Birr.

I know it's some time since you were at Shanes. It's a pity that you didn't get a chance to see the fair at its best in sunshine but I think you will have found it a good improvement on your previous visit.
