the big chief 3,099
sounds to me the dog is frightand of the lead so put it on him in the garden and let him walk around with it on and give him treats let him get used to it for a while then take it off then call him then put the lead on and give him a treat and make a real fuss of him thats how i got mine to do it its prety easy to get pissed off with the dog but keep calm it will happen pal atb G
Baghdadnights 150
As been said time patience and a long lead and remember when he does come to you no scolding just keep calm I know it's difficult when they've pissed you off but calm and loads of praise and fuss so coming back to you is enjoyable not a punishment

desertbred 5,490
when you are in your garden call him once and then walk away from him let him follow you and come to you do it with a treat or his favourite play thing when he starts following you around on his own make a big fuss keep your voice low and calm salukis and saluki x are very sensative to tone of voice. slowly transfer this activity outside call once and walk away when he comes give him the treat or plaything and make a fuss of him dont put the lead on him every time you call or he will associate it with going on the lead and to the car or home. DogMagic 461
You need HIGH VALUE treats. 1/4 rashers of bacon, big chunks of sausage etc. Keep him on long lead, call him, tug lead, when he comes back give sausage. It wont take long for the penny to drop.
