ferret1988 20
Went out today to try gain some permission of my own with my dad instead of relying on others, tbh when with very low expections as in previous years always been knocked back and told no, to my suprise today the 1st farm we called too was very friendly and told us even though he counld not grant permission as it estate owned that he would take our details and pass them on to his friends, We then saw a farmer tending to his sheep further down the road and waited for him to return back to is car when he did he was very polite and showed us the sets that we on the large field and granted permission but due to his neighbours not been so keen and the hedges been the boundary where the sets are this is very restricting so he agreed if we try and do something to keep the numbers down he we again call a few contacts and see see what he could do. We then pulled up for some lunch and noticed a lady with 2 collies and a lab and introduced our selves and what we were doing she was very nice and took us too her farm where he husband granted us about 200-300 acres of nice grass land he then also put us onto 3 more houses with joining horse paddocks etc all with about 30-40 rabbits on each peace causing havoc and again granted us permission with agreement to more land if a good job is done also with left our details with 2 caravan club sites who were keen to have us on in the winter so all in all a good day out and a fruitful bounty of nice and pleasent people who were more then willing to help us out wish there was more people like this in the countryside who understand thats its animal managment and not mass massacre 3 Quote Link to post
