Short review of Helle knife

Hi, just got my new helle knife from mountain shack in Worcester, as shown below.

It is the Fjellbeckk model I think and it has a sort of basic what I think may be beech handle, however it is very sturdy and nice to hold, especially for someone with fairly large hands.

It feels very balanced and is a pleasure to use. Also,it is quite sharp straight out of the box and looks

B-E-A-U-tiful!! I will sharpen it though! It is handcrafted in Holmedal, Norway in one factory, NO machines, just pure highly skilled, highly experienced, craftsmen! They provide you with a equally nice handmade leather sheath with Helle embossed on it. The buckle strap on the sheath is very sturdy yet easy to fasten, and has a "button" type closure system with helle written on it again.

The only way you can carry It on your belt is by threading your belt through it, but that is no trouble!

It also come with a cleaning cloth to wipe blood, guts, etc off the blade before storage. It also is presented in a cardboard tube with some info about the knives and factory/heritage etc. The is shown below.

 

This is a quality knife and will last a life time, so invest in one! You will not be disappointed!

Haha nah my brother went to Worcester uni and needed to get his stuff lol. It was at an irresistible price I couldn't leave it!!

Had two Helle triple laminated blade knive's...you can shave with them...First one i gave to a mate that got killed on a train crossing by a train in his car with his larcher and terrier.

The second i got for farthers day of my kids, till some F ER i once called a friend stole it frm my house along with 3 other knives. The bloke cant leave anything alone that isnt screwd down...everywhere he goes and who ever he becomes friends with he'll just steal from...Its always only a matter of time with him.

 

Sorry got carried away lol,,nice blade kid,,it should last you a life time if you look after it and dont let theiving hands get near it

Sorry to hear about your friends mate. Must feel gutting getting such a nice knife nicked, let alone by a "friend".

Haven't tried shaving with it yet though! Might just have to get one with rosewood or antlers when I get the money! Lol
