They feckin well replace it ............   end of ............

Call the police in, theft, looks good for an RFD that does, theft of a firearm!

they, as a shop, have `a duty of care`, no way out for them, replace gun or pay what would be a market value to you for you to replace gun, whatever you do, do NOT hand over the receipt to them, if th

Technically the RFD had either had a theft or burglary depending on where the gun was left in the shop, or could be a member of dishonest staff which raises questions as to what sort of shop hires criminals? All these facts need bringing to the attention of the shop owner and then te them your going to your local police station.

Any gun shop worth it's salt won't even let you get that far without offering you a new gun or refund at market value. Try that approach it may work wonders for you!

What is the name of the shop?. If you say their name , and then they mess you about, it's not going to look good for them and people will not go there. If they act very well, and say give you moneys to, or, a better gun, then it will look very good for them and they will get business. How many of us on this site would knowingly go to a shop that has lost a customers gun, and then not given them reasonable compensation?. If it was my shop, i would ask you how much the gun and scope was all worth, give you that amount AND give you £50 as a sorry.

It is abit naughty, but could just be a simple mistake, put in a box back in the stockroom for example. Best bet is go there, with receipt explain, see what they say and go from there..although I wouldn't be happy. Have you got the serial no.?
