weekend.rifle 44
i also agree, go in and explain that although they believe it to only be worth 50 quid, you know what it was and to buy a new one it would cost a total of.....(rifle,sights, extras you had etc etc). Then say that you feel it would only be fair if they would give you that total to choose a new set up from their stock at cost value. That way you get a new rifle and are suitably compensated, they dont make any profit from the transaction but apart from time no one would be out of pocket. If they dont go for it then say you have no choice to call the police and trading standards. Tony i have clearly been asleep while reading this forum, just noticed that it has been found, left this comment just in case anyone else has the same issue ever Edited July 7, 2012 by weekend.rifle Quote Link to post
bigmac 97kt 13,787
hi bud pleased you got the rifle back but eny rifle that is custom built can cost a fortune(be it built by your mate or a f.a.d) they probably had some one offer them good money on it and tryed to pull a fast one on you all in all not the right thing to do name and shame and stop it happening to some one els who may not be so lucky atbmac Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Give them every opportunity to replace your rifle at the earliest possibility. Regardless of age or condition, it was a complete and working rifle when it went in and, by accepting it to service it, they have made a legally binding, contract of duty to fulfil their promise and return your rifle with the agreed work completed. I would give them the chance to make good their promise and replace if not return the rifle... ....or it's the police who will be dealing with them. End Of! Simon Quote Link to post
