hi just a quick question i took my rifle in to my local gun shop to be chrono i left it there so they could have a look at it been told that it wont go much more powerful if they sorted it so decided to go and pick it up and when i asked for it they cant find it so how do i stand if they have lost it i have the receipt cheers DM

thought so mate they are telling me it was only worth £50 and kept asking me to part exchange it and it wouldnt kill a rabbit i only got it for the rats and pigeons which i know it will kill the quarry i got it for at 9.25 killing power the sites are worth £50 so got to ring tomorrow to find out whats going on cheers

they, as a shop, have `a duty of care`, no way out for them, replace gun or pay what would be a market value to you for you to replace gun, whatever you do, do NOT hand over the receipt to them, if they want to see it, get a photocopy made

don`t think that route would get very far, far better threat would involve cops over missing firearm, checks on their security would be far more hassle for them

If he was that known, they'd know him being a gunshop an all..so maybe not the best thing to do. But don't take shit , ash a guy I speak to had problems with a gunshop in Grimsby and threatened them with trading standards, he kept the dodgy gun they sold plus gave him a refund..so trading standards threat is the way forward rather than trying to pass off your Nigel Allen or something lol
