I've always liked borders, really bright little dogs, i've heard there known as 'the gentleman of the north'

I'll get myself one, one day.

I used to have a border terrier cross whippet, most loyal, trouble free dog i've ever owned.

the closest i had to a border was a border x lakeland... what a crackin wee bitch she was, died at 18 years old... owned her from she was 2... she threw alot to the border... i went look about a border but all i could find was expensive show shite

I might get a Border in a couple of years, what are they like at Bushing and Rats? Got a good coat on them....

 

bushing, feckin hell cant get her out of them :laugh: my little bitch is mad keen she just started marking at the end of the ferreting season so iam very happy with her she will be 12 months in july .

havint tryed her on rats yet so i cannot say , fezz :D

Some very nice borders!! Heres a few of my little shite this are around the 3 month stage his coming upta 4 month now same problem as you Jacko the git wont stay still long enough to get a good shot of him ill try tommorow bribe him with food!

A recent pic of my current three. We've got a new addition who is 2 weeks old, mother is the border on the end swimming the most eloquently (sp?!!!)

 

 

 

Hob&Gill - our lot are fantastic at bushing and ratting.

 

Our lot the other year on a ratting trip with a friends borders.

does anybody work them to ground?there some smart dogs my favs

i had a halve cross once hard as a coffin nail.i think most border

owners dont want them marked up but there one of the few breeds

that havent been spoiled by the kennel club.i run ped whippets

and there cracking wee pot fillers game as hell but its the

same with them the owners dont want them marked up but

there must be some still working these wee dogs to ground

There are people working Borders all over, what puts folk of them is the ridiculous price, that coupled with a smaller working gene pool means you have to look carefully for a working strain that is still being worked. Also there are easier to enter terriers on the go and the fact that every terrier show is crammed full of, "Marshmellows" and " Trixiewoo's" gets the back up of the lads who do go out and work their terrier's, Borders or not.

 

Just my opinion mind. ;)
