Australian cattle dog cross

really intrested in getting a ACD cross next year, does anyone on here have any experince of them. if so how do you rate them? would you recomand them say over a collie cross? the main working task for the dog would be ferreting and lamping in around cheshire/shropshire countryside. what mixs would you recomand fist cross etc. Any pics would be a bonus. cheers :thumbs:

Here's a mates 1/2 x acd,a grand ferreting dog that don't need telling what to do. I had the litter sister to this dog,but she got killed in action. I was lucky with pace with my bit

First crosses can be a bit slow, that is why I'm putting one to my pure grey bitch to get 3/4 grey 1/4 acd pups as for comparing them to collie crosses they have the collie brain but more of a attit

I owned one for 12 years, a great dog to own mines was 2nd gen half cross, she was a real great work tool, always ready for action here is one of her pups i bred to a 5/8 3/8 collie greyhound monty.jpg

There is a spare bedroom here mate so don't think you need to come up for the lamping session then have to head home :thumbs:

 

That is a nice bitch 2.8 :notworthy: , I know my pals who had them will offer me advice when needed but I might pick your brains as well :good:
