My first lurcher

Recommended Posts

Just got my first lurcher pup, so would any one have any handy tips for future training on the best way to get him to retrieve. And is it a normal thing for them to like digging, cos he's bloody good at it. Anyone's help would be grately appreciated.

I had some good adivce on here with retrving do it in your garden and start doing it when the younger the better just use a teddy or something like that and dont over do it , throw it no more than once a day that way he wont get bored of it. when he brings it back give him loads if praise or a treat. as for the digging i dont know none of mine have ever done it its propbaly just cos its a pup it'll most probaly grow out of it.

A good training tip

Don't do to much at once with the dog and use simple one word commands and don't get p!ssed off if everything seems to be going wrong just keep calm
