Ps, teach 'bring it' and 'give', too, otherwise if it catches anything for itself it'll stay in cover and stuff it's face! Here's mine with her first solo catch -

That's a good tip, I never taught mine that and they both eat anything they catch in the bush and most of the cover near me is thick bramble so getting in to get them out is near in impossible.

just get it out as much as pos with other terriers or just of the lead walking round fields just to get the sent of every thing and to see whats going on but if you cant get out with other dogs it doesnt realy matter it will sharp pick up what it was bred to do
