number one , this is a little beauty i think , it is forged by hand with 2 very very old files and a medievil horse shoe made of wrought iron or bloomery iron . the construction is the shoe and a file welded togeather and twisted up over and over to make it strong then the edge has been steeled by welding another file along the bottom as the cutting edge . this is a saxon sax knife very early european style of knife , its a traditanaly made knife as far as im conserned and the real thing does not look any differant , the last man to forge the shoe has been dead hundreds of years !! which was a realy intresting feeling working the iron , bear in mind this wrought iron was made long before power tools and electric was available you can only imagine it realy ? the files where donkys years old and one was 100% hand made so its very old !

anyway it comes with its own british oak burl that i found that has been dead a long time and drying here for some time . its rock hard and dry , and more than thick enough for you to get a great handle from .

this one is yours for £40 which is stupid cheap but i hope you guys might enjoy finnishing it off as i loved making it !!

2 is the san mai i offered the other day fook it you can have that for £7 posted but it wont be insured or anything !

3 a large bushcraft style knife , its made from w2 i had intended to finnsh this one but its sat here for long enough so £22 posted , its a nice knife i did a good ht on it and left the tang soft so you can go all file work on it ha !! you can polish it pateiner it what ever you like !

4 is a slightly smaller version of 3 same thing soft tang etc £22 posted , ps they both want the final sharpen on them but you will do that easy at home !

5 is RW34 its one of the blanks i made along time ago , iv been using it for od jobs in the workshop so cleaned it all up this is a powder stainless steel very high quality metal , its all heat treated and ready to go , simple para cord and you have a good bunny knife ! £12 posted

6 is something i forged up from a slither of w2 steel to keep my eye in at the forge , sharp litle thing i thought it would make a good neck knife the mrs says a scalpel and my mate who was a marine says a self defence weapon :) £5 posted

7 is a scorpian tail , just a litle thing to gut stuff with , its w2 as well £5 posted

hope there all fair enough for you guys ? something to practice with and all could be modified handleded polished what ever .

all the best matt.
