Car breaks down and needs 300 quid spent on it - thats 150 rabbits out of the calculation. etc etc. Quote Link to post
kanigra 110
I got £1.75 a rabbit last season as rabbits were thin on the ground down here so game dealers were paying top money for ferreted rabbits.Don't know what it will be this season. On payed jobs we get price per rabbit to get rid of them. Only probs is by the time me & my old partner split the money, the fuel, etc. its not enough to pay your bills on. Quote Link to post
torchey 1,328
The thing with rabbit control is theres so many people that do it for nothing ,me included .If i get a phone call from a domestic they get charged but if i get phone calls from farmers through word of mouth etc i,m happy to do it just for the permission. Rake aboot 4,936
You need to live somewhere that is fecking over run, and have a good name. And you will notice most pro ferreters need to do game fair demos, sell books, and over price for 'eu polecats' to make a living. Best we found is garden jobs etc, willing to pay a bit, or hotels etc. Also found somewhere that will buy frozen, gutted rabbits for a pound. Take 500 a time and its ok i guess. I wish someone would pay me for the tree rats, i just leave them where they fall. Cook them Jai. there are braw min. tree rat satay ! mmmmm Quote Link to post
