blackmaggie 3,376
can i fire up my lurchers using my german shepard hes has already had 4 daytime rabbits just lately and i need to run my pups on this season any ideas people or should i look for an older dog just to run them on ?????????????????? do you know anyone that will let you tag along and show you and your pups the ropes and how many pups do you have because if your just starting out you will find it easier with one then all your efforts and time can go in to that one pup instead of splitting your time between them and why do you need to run your pups on this season if there basic training is not 100 per cent your wasting your time get everything in place first otherwise you will enter in haste and view at leisure good luck Quote Link to post

weasle 1,119
Do lads really believe that a young dog learns anything from watching another dog say lamp rabbits? 1 Quote Link to post
pip1968 2,490
yes i would say they learn just as wild animals would learn their own Quote Link to post
Guest born to run1083
I believe it can bring there prey drive out personally watching another dog work. I recon they get an extra kick from them competing against each other Aswell. But can be a bad thing to. Quote Link to post

steve g 5
just let the pups mooch with the big dog on walks if he's catching and hunting rabbits up it cant do them much harm and when ur pups are around 10/11 months old and you have got there basic training sorted i will take you out with them 1 at a time and and help get them started. how old are they now? and [bANNED TEXT] x r they?
