iv finally found a home for my last 2 kits. Been away a week and a pal has managed to line a home up for the two hobs. Iv converted my two hutches into 1 today and the kits are loving the extra space.I also gave some meat to my neighbours 2 jills and noticed they are considerably smaller than the two iv kept. Is there a chance the mother could still be giving milk at almost 10 weeks? The kits have been eating meat since before they opened there eyes and because there was 13 I fed cat milk a bit aswel.its just an observation but the kits were all the same size there or there abouts when they went. Think I'm guna get a polecat jill in a coupla weeks, will mean I'll have 4 jills and the hob I kept back to prepare for november time. It was suggested to me that I start kits at around 6 months, is this due to size, or mentality or what? These kits will be as big as the mother in a matter of weeks I would say.bit of a ramble that but any feedback would be spot on. Cheers john

Aye there as different as chalk and cheese ones really light and the others darker even i can tell the difference , they steal the chicken away from the two other kits that are two weeks older and running up the wire already

You can get cheap fatty mince from morrisons (frozen) for about £1.20 that will feed em up. Ive always left a bowl of biscuits down for mine.

Cat milk is fine for them, you might be best off with some lactofree milk (whole version, more fat) its only about a quid if your wanting

to give them milk.

I wouldn't feed kits mince theres no bone or muscle etc in it , I get 13 kilo boxes of chicken carcasses at 60 odd pence a kilo
