The danger of a dog that bites

Recommended Posts

Now partly I blame the bull in him,

unbelievable ... i used to smack my pure apbt if he did something wrong and the others i had... never even stared, they would run and hide.

blame your dog not the bull .

Im unbelievable!

If you had read it properly, I have owned sight hounds all my life, they all had the sane training And this the first one with this trait as it is the only one I have had with bill in its breeding, it was a valid question / query call it what you like.

f**k that any pics

Mouthy dogs are usually high drive dogs. It is natural for a dog to want to grab on to stuff when it gets excited: think of a dog a bit like an automatic car: it is either in drive mode, or park mode:

yeh , i think she is trying to defend dogs that bite .? i think she talks crap. any dog that bites i think should be its last if kids are involved end off. even if its adult the trust as gone, so

hutch i have a 5 year old lad who loves the dogs and knows what i expect from him when hes around them but if 1 ever bit him it would never bite again regardless who was at fault but i wouldnt trust any dog enough to leave them alone with any kid and i would never try a defend any dog that did for a kid regardless who was at fault

So the dog potentially loses its life through the misdirected action of your children? Nice way of teaching the kids to respect the dogs.

PS. For what it's worth, my kids and dogs are perfectly happy with the ground rules and boundaries I lay down for them both with regards to each other..

I don't allow kids near any of my dogs. Having said that if some kid went up and booted my dog for no reason and got bitten.hell mend them! And Shame on the parents for raising such a child.

a good few years ago when my lads were younger one of them jumped on the settee not realising the dog was there asleep, the dog bit him. natural reaction from a dog that was spooked.
