Old dogs

I have two very old dogs...one greyhound, Sheya who is 14 yrs & lofty about 16yrs who i agreed to take on cause he is a rescue and too old to die in a pound.

I have been walking them on smaller walks from the other three.....swifty/pup n bugga lugs the pup greyhound as they are so bloody active and need happy long walks.

But both sheya and Lofty have now got like.......well its not cuts more like......the only way i can describe it is carpet burns  . I walk them in the same place i walk the other three & have checked the ground....nowt owt there to cause it and others are fine..........so was wondering, Is it just coincedance (spelling) or is this a thing that happens in older dog??
