trappa 518
Just thought id share that i bought some pumpkin seeds from lidl earlier in the year but they didnt come to anything. Talked to neighbour and he had bought some too (not pumkin) from lidl and his never fruited either. GRRRRRR. its not the money as its literally pennies, its just i grew some great pumpkins last year and made some lvely pumkin chutney, but also the kids went down and picked one each for Nov 5th which was nice but will need to buy them now. Moan over. Edited July 4, 2012 by trappa

jimster68 123
it might not be that theres anything wrong with the seeds ,the weathers been crap its been cold and wet ,i grow a few things and this year some things have been pityful . i bought some seeds from LIDL this year (mainly flowers, french beans, leauttice ect)i donated the flowers to LURCHER LINK for there HALIFAX SHOW and they raised £90 . even now my tomatoes, beetroot, sweet corn, carrots are crap ,and ive never struggled to grow them before ,i would say that most things in the garden are 3 to 4 weeks behind. it looks like this summers crops are going to be a washout ..........jim

MissRhianL 70
Ive tried a few of the seeds from lidls and theyre crap !! This year i think the only thing that has grown from seed is the radish, i think ill try and buy some next year already started saves wasting pennies on seeds and then in the end buying a plant already started. My old landlord who was really big into his gardening took alot of the seeds from the waste like chillis peppers peel plum tomatoe etc from the food he was cooking and said he had a better turn out than the packeted seeds so i have tried that and peel plum tomatoes, chilli peppers and chillis have come well only trouble im having is runner bean, some times they come sometimes they dont
