i bought a wee handy scope for 30 quid includin post... it was'nt half bad, i cant remember the name of it but it stayed accurate for a good length of time despite the odd knock i gave it... i think it was a 3-9 x 40... but i'm not sure

I bought a 3-9x50 mill dot from J.S.Ramsbottom for £29.95 inc post.

I was surprised how clear the optics are! I use it on a springer and have had no problems with recoil damage.

It has a fixed parallax at 35 yards which is good, the only gripe that I have got is the mil dots are quite wide, but I've got used to it now.

So cheepies arn't all that bad! :)

Incidently, they do a illumiated reticle version for £39.95.

BOB, I know the one's from germany that your on about, cos I too was looking into getting one, the one thats quoted as being £300 plus retail, but normally ends up around the £60 to £80 mark,

so my advice after lots of searching and reading, is ask yourself what do you want to use the scope for? as in what quarry and where, then e mail the seller and ask whats the minimum this scope can be set too, even though the adverts say from zero to infinity, cos the reply I got back was 20yds

great if all your shooting is out in the fields, but what if you want to shot ferrals in the shed, or rats at close quarters

look at the chinese sights on ramsbottom site, gives you a good description of same optics, with a warning about the 20yd bit, the e bay seeler dont
