cocker 2,654
The RSPCA is a charity. The Inspectorate is NOT a public law enforcement body. Society Inspectors have NO special legal powers whatsoever. They have NO special powers to arrest offenders. They have NO right to enter your home to inspect your animals or to demand that you answer any of their questions. They have NO right of access to shows, fairs and markets other than as members of the public, and can only carry out any law enforcement function as an assistant to a police-officer, upon that officer’s request. They have NO power to stop, obstruct or otherwise detain any vehicle carrying animals. 17 Quote Link to post

pernod 466
Sounds like your mate is full of shit, mate. who in their right mind would stand back an let a copper administer pills to their dog. Gaz_1989 9,539
I've seen this on a tv programme last year. The police will do this. Wether they have the right to insist on doing this I don't know, but the soft lads on that programme let them do it. I would tell them to f**k off and they would have to arrest me before I let them touch my dogs. Quote Link to post
