ive looked on the BASC site and it says you can use an air rifle if your over 14 on any land as long as you have permission, without supervision. Ime 17 and just wanted to know if ime allowed to carry my air rifle in its case to my permission without someone over the age of 18? cheers.

14 - 17 Years ....You Cannot have an air rifle in a public place unless you are supervised by somebody aged 21 or over, and you have a reasonable excuse to do so (for example, while on the way to a shooting ground).

I think you could carry an air gun ,in public ,in a secure package at 14 years old when I was 14 years old .

Many moons ago Barry lol I remember my first airgun when I was 8, my dad only snapped the barrel aimed towards the floor..coppers never stopped us etc

The change was a result of Daily Mail readers believing in the 1000-fold increase in gun crime committed by 17 year olds in possession of air rifles.... Oh, it isn't true? Well, well.
