Right then lads we all know our dogs can get in sticky situations and seem to find them selves the smelliest things in the field to roll in.

What do you guys use when you get home to freshen the dogs up.

My reason for posting is I have a bitch that can always seems to find badger shit and rolls all over it. Nearly every day. When I get home I spray her down and do the usual to look for cuts or ticks and so on but the fowl odour seems to remain even after shampooing her. I've been mixing lemon juice with shampoo seems to work to a degree but never fully takes it away. So what do you guys use after your mutts mix with the smelly parts of Lurcher work lol and what do you guys use in your cars to get rid of the odour that can soon gather.

Any ideas welcome

My house mutt rolls in the nastiest of things, I wash her in cheap ketchup before I shampoo her

(leave the ketchup on the dog 5/10 mins before rinsing then shampooing)

i heard this last nite about the ketchup but it was in america when a skunk sprayed a dog or person

Dettol Anti-bacterial spray or anti-bacterial hand gel: work well into the coat then rinse off thoroughly. Does the job even on rotten fish smell. Obviously not designed for the job, but it doesn't seem to do my hands any arm so shouldn't harm the dog if its only on odd patches.
