Throw in the towel

Recommended Posts

Was out on some of my permission this morning, and this is the second time ive encountered 3 lads, gypos or summat, trespassing cos they dont have permission to work that land, cut a long story short, there terriers flushed this bunny out into the open, and my dog copped it, and they wanted it, turned a bit nasty when i refused em, and it ended wi me pinned up against my car, so at the risk of a hiding, i gave em the f****n thing, im annoyed wi missen and feel a coward fer backing off, ive seen the time when in my youth, i could have done the feckers some harm, its the same on some of my other permission, according to the landowner, only i have permission, not so, ive seen the tell tale signs of other folks working their dogs, ive been at it to long now to no the score, the gypos asked my age, i just replied im a pensioner, there reply, time to throw in the towel, well im sat here wondering were to go later on wi my dog, throw in the towel, me , never, i can honestly say, im having a wonderful retirement, and thoroughly enjoying my time in the field wi my dog, its not just about rabbiting, cos thats all i do now, but being out there just me n the dog, you true working dog men will no what im on about, i had the heart to tackle the gypos but not the wind

Im also retired, not nice what happened to you, hopefully these Guys will have moved on, and not be back on your ground.

Have to agree, its not worth fighting them over a rabbit, you could have ended up severely hurt, you dont know what could have happened.

Hope you get over this and enjoy your retirement the same as myself.

most of the travellers especially romanies have a lot of respect for age these scum bags were probably just wannabe travellers who shown thier true worth fighting over a rabbit. I am retired myself but not adverse to handing out the odd lesson in manners if the need arises they will get thier just deserts one day that sort always do be lucky.
