hondo 45 Posted June 30, 2012 Report Share Posted June 30, 2012 as far as i know a lurchers tail is like a boats rudder,,the kinda steer with the tail but its only part of it the bottom half of the tail is the strongest so might still be fine,, i dont see it completely stoppin him from runnin well just think it will be a gettin used to period i seen dogs coursin rabbits with theree legs,,,,,so i wudent worry too much Quote Link to post

graham4877 1,181 Posted June 30, 2012 Report Share Posted June 30, 2012 Hope its ok mate,,, a mate of mine has had his dogs tail off and its about 4" left on it and it runs and works fine...all i'd say you need to do is get the dog out running about when its better and it will sharp get used to it! dso88 15 Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 Been back to the vets today and the dressing staying its healing really well stitches should dissolve within a week or so and he can start running in a few weeks my vet is quite a well known lurcherman vet and he said you won't have no problem getting him back running so everything's looking up 1 Quote Link to post
