On the back of the magnification thread i as wondering what reticle everyone prefers to use. I am using a bog standard mil dot at the moment but will be changing my scope in the next couple of months.

Quite like a 30/30 on .177

the old fashioned mildot mate ,only other recticle i use is the map6 which for me is superb for a .22.atb mate.

Hawke Specialized Reticles (SR) or Multiple Aim Point (MAP) reticles are fantastic for airgun shooting. You do need a chrono though to get the best out. use the chrono data and Chairgun or BRC and a whole world of longer range shooting will be opened up!

I have to say I still love my old 30-30 reticles.

 

I have a Hawke Airmax 6-18x44 SR12 ret. scope on my .22cal. HW77. It helped win the recoiling class HFT trophy and other prizes at the Nottingham Meet.

 

But, there is a wonderful simplicity and phenominal accuracy to be gleaned from a quality scope with a straightforward 30-30 Duplex reticle.

I have a 30/30 on my ratting gun and its great but i really like the look of the one on the Falcon 1.5-5x30.
